Difffusion and Transport in Porous Media
The Reimer group has designed and developed pulsed-field gradient diffusion and multidimensional relaxometry methods to assess the velocity auto-corrrelation function of molecules and ions in complex porous media.
Spin echoes are now 76 years old, yet they continue to provide a powerful platform for developing new methods to characterize materials. We are showing how the modulated gradient spin-echo sequence yields frequency-dependent diffusion coefficients that map molecular motion onto molecular dynamics and topology across distinct motional regimes.
Unexpected features emerge, including the dynamic evolution of configurational entropy and a classical analogue of quantum information science’s paradigmatic test bed for decoherence. Here are some papers…
